Estructura

A + nói / bảo / hỏi + (rằng) + [clause]

To report speech, use nói (say), bảo (tell) or hỏi (ask), then the sentence itself. Rằng (that) is optional: Anh ấy nói (rằng) anh ấy bận. Nothing in the sentence changes tense. Use nghĩ (think) or thấy (feel, find) in the same way: Tôi nghĩ bạn đúng.

Consejo: Use bảo with a person to give an instruction: Mẹ bảo tôi về sớm.
