Đừng means don't and is used to ask someone not to do something: Đừng lo! Không được means not allowed: Không được hút thuốc. Cấm means forbidden and appears on signs: Cấm đỗ xe. Add nhé or nha to soften an order.

Tips: Add xin (please) in front for a very polite request: Xin đừng chụp ảnh.
